Color of the Year - Pantone says Rose Quartz

It's official! Pantone has announced ROSE QUARTZ as the 2016 color of the year.

Pantone is the world's color forecaster. You can expect to see rose quartz color as best in show this year influencing website design color, fabrics, makeup, home decor, and everything in between ...  my prediction is that hair color too will top the charts with this new popular shade giving "pretty in pink" a whole new meaning!

Radiant Orchid is 2014 Pantone Color of the YEAR!

Move over Emerald green and make way for the 2014 Pantone Color the YEAR .... drumroll please .... Radiant Orchid! The perfect choice for your mani/pedi!

What I find most interesting is that the 2012 color of the year was tangerine tango, and 2013 emerald green ... these are both secondary colors to purple.

Pantone doesn't just pull this color out of a hat, it searches the world over to find the trending colors each year, considering influences of the entertainment industry, art and fashion. I love this orchid color and think it is flattering on most every skin tone. Can't wait to play with pops of this color for makeup and clothing.

Pantone picks TOP Colors for Spring 2014!

Summer is officially over tomorrow. Fashion Week just ended. So it makes perfect sense that we charge forward thinking about what's going to be on trend going forward. And Pantone, the world's renowned authority on color forecasting just announced that the "IT" color for Spring will be DAZZLING BLUE

Looking at the entire palette, there seems to be a shift happening. The bright blue winner is by far one of the strongest colors of the bunch, and it's interesting to see that the others colors are more neutral like Sand and Paloma, with pastel Violet Tulip coming in at second place.

Stay tuned ... Pantone will announce the Color of the Year in December. WIth past winners like Tangerine Tango and Emerald Green, do you think we'll be  singing the blues for awhile longer?
